Special Thanks - Audubon Society
On behalf of the Staff, Patients and Family members we would like to send out a special thanks to our local Audobon Society Members who have religously kept our bird feeders in the Memorial Garden cleaned and filled. They have donated their time and talent and have had to break out snow shoes on occasions to feed our feathered friends.
The well fed birds (even the squirrells) have been a joy for our patients and family members to watch- THANK YOU for your commitment!
The members that have been involved include:
Sally Stebbins
Cindy Hofstetter
Sally Pickering
Mary Trout
Serving our Community for 26 years
For over 25 years, Hospice of Little Traverse Bay (HOLTB) has been providing end-of-life and palliative care for residents of Charlevoix, Emmet and parts of Antrim, Cheboygan and Otsego counties. Our mission is to provide comfort, support and end-of-life care as we would for our own loved ones.
Hospice is patient and family-centered care. Families are given the tools to care for their loved one – hospice follows their lead, offering comfort and support along the way.
Care is provided wherever the patient calls home: their home, relative’s home, adult foster care, assisted living, nursing homes and hospitals. In 2008, HOLTB opened the first residence/inpatient hospice facility in Petoskey. Hiland Cottage is a seven bedroom residence for patients whose caregivers can not manage their symptoms at home or for those who have no caregivers.
