Area of Greatest Need

This fund is not restricted fund and the contributions in this fund can be designated by  Hospice of Little Traverse Bay  Board of Directors to be used where it is needed most. Contributions in this fund also cover expenses related to patient care provided in the patients home that is not covered by insurance or for those patients that are uninsured. 

Hospice House Fund

All contributions in this fund will be used to supplement Hiland Cottage Expenses.  This will cover expenses related to patient care that is not covered by Insurance or for those patients that are uninsured and unable to pay the daily room and board rate at Hiland Cottage

Angel of Hope

Contributions received for this fund will be used to maintain our memorial garden at Hiland Cottage.

Quality of Life Fund

The Hospice of Little Traverse Bay Quality of Life Fund offers the opportunity to enhance the lives of patients and families through special celebrations or providing for unmet needs. The Quality of Life Fund will assure that, regardless of the financial situation, patients receive the best comprehensive care available.

What types of projects are funded? Staff or volunteers of Hospice of Little Traverse Bay may submit a request on behalf of the family from the Quality of Life Fund for the following types of projects:

• Family Reunions
• Birthday or Anniversary Celebrations
• Christmas or other holiday festivities
• Travel expenses to bring a loved one home
• Building a wheelchair ramp
• Purchase of durable medical goods
• Limited expenses for covering past due bills such as rent, phone and electric.

Contributions designated to the following funds are restricted and will only be used to support the individual programs:

• Pregnancy and Infant Loss Program
• Children’s Bereavement Program
• Adult Bereavement Program
• Spiritual Care Program
• Edith Littler Volunteer Program
• Staff Education Fund
